And now let me tell you a little bit about Konstanz. It is situated on Lake Constance (the Bodensee in German) in the south west corner of Germany, bordering Switzerland. You can explore the Old Town (die Altstadt with its beautiful architecture and churches. We made it to the top of the Konstanz Cathedral and the view was breathtaking.
The Port is definitely the most interesting place to explore and enjoy. The boats, the ships and the thousand of tourist make the place magical. It was also special because that they we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. So, I want to encourege you to cherish every moment and spend it with your favorite people.
We all know the quotes such as “Life is beautiful” or “Life is a journey, enjoy the ride”. And this is all true. But in the middle of the day the things don’t seem to be so beautiful and so perfectly. You are going through so many difficulties, facing so many issues and it is not easy to keep the smile on your face and to be able to inspire others.
And this is exactly the how I feel now and in the last couple of weeks. Moving to Germany wasn’t the easiest thing for us to do and it is still not easy after almost three months of living here. We are still searching for the perfect home for us, we are still searching for the perfect job. Blogging is not easy to do in this situation when you are not settled down. You have all these ideas, inspirations, things you want to share and write about but it is hard and challenging. With this post I just wanted the share with you guys my thoughts and the time I am going through. Because we are all human and we all have our things to deal with.
But at the end of the day he is still there holding my hand. We are going through this tough period together and doing life with him is the easiest thing to do. Treasure and value the people around you who are always by your side ready to help you and just love you.
My message is simple today: ” Don’t give up”. Don’t give up on your dreams, don’t give up on your passion, keep growing in the areas you love. You have to go the extra mile in order to get to the top. You have to use the steps instead to take the elevator. It’s just the way things go. It is not easy living your dreams but I can ensure you it is not impossible.
I don’t know if you had or you are going also through the same or similar situations in your life. Let me know in the comments below what is your personal experience and how you manage to deal with tough situations?
New York – the city that never sleeps! With this post on MaryPolka blog I would like to share the journey my husband and I took to that amazing city called – New York. It will always have a special place in our hearts. As you may already read in my older posts my husband is a photographer and he takes all the pictures on the blog. He is so talented and dedicated to his passion and work. I really love the way he saw New York City through his lens. We visited a couple of places in the city. You can follow the journey through the pictures below.
On that picture you can see us near Time Square. We like to explore every place we go as we walk and stroll around the streets. You can feel the city spirit, explore the local culture and traditions. It is so diverse and culturally rich. My husband loves street photography so he really enjoyed taking pictures of New York city’s streets, the buildings, skyscrapers, the city traffic lights, the yellow cabs. Just amazing experience!
We also managed to visit the Liberty State Park. It is a green oasis in the middle of Metropolitan northern New Jersey. You could enjoy an incredible view of the Manhattan skyline , the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It is a perfect place for relax, walking, fishing, enjoying the beauties of New York.
Another beautiful spot in New York of course is the Brooklyn Bridge which connects Brooklyn with Manhattan. Amazing by night, amazing by daytime. Here are some of the shots my husband took that night.
Here are some more pictures from the heart of New York City. I love everything about it. The big lights will inspire you. There is always something new and interesting happening. These streets will make you feel brand new. This I call New York Love.
And what about you? Have you been to NYC? Which are your favorite places? I would love to hear!
