Classic Holiday Look.

Hello beautiful friends! I hope that I am not the only one excited about the coming holidays. It’s almost that time of the year when everything looks so magical, everybody is shopping, decorating the house, cooking special meals and treats and buying lovely presents. This post on MaryPolka is about the perfect makeup and style look for the holidays.

Keep reading below to learn how I got this classic holiday look.

Here are some makeup tips and suggestions about the holiday look. As you can see from the pictures above I am applying a MAC red lipstick. A holiday look is not a holiday look without bright red lips. I am a huge fan of Retro Matte Lipstick/Rouge A Levres recently. This is my holy-grail holiday red so far.

To achieve this look I used the Lancome Color Design eyeshadows. It has 4 gorgeous tones. I applied the Burnt Sand (Shimmer) shade to my lid and then I used the Faux Pas (Matte) tone and applied it to my crease.

To finish up my classic holiday inspired look, I curled my hair with my favorite Remington S3500 Straightener. My all the time favorite Christmas combination colors are red, black and gold. About the accessories – I chose these jewelry in golden shade – rings from H&M and these beautiful earrings from I am. Last but not least, I put on a black top in combination with a red-black knee-length skirt.

Stay Classy.

We all have that days when we want to stay classy in the way we look, behave, eat and etc. This outfit is MaryPolka‘s suggestion for a classy and chic look. You can always choose it for an interview, important business meeting, exam or just to try out a different style. I am loving hair buns recently and I really like the way it matches my classy outfit. You could pair the trousers with high heels or boots – depends on your mood. I hope you like the soft pink and grey color combination. Let me know what do you think about this classy look? New York Love.

New York – the city that never sleeps! With this post on MaryPolka blog I would like to share the journey my husband and I took to that amazing city called – New York. It will always have a special place in our hearts. As you may already read in my older posts my husband is a photographer and he takes all the pictures on the blog. He is so talented and dedicated to his passion and work. I really love the way he saw New York City through his lens. We visited a couple of places in the city. You can follow the journey through the pictures below.

On that picture you can see us near Time Square. We like to explore every place we go as we walk and stroll around the streets. You can feel the city spirit, explore the local culture and traditions. It is so diverse and culturally rich. My husband loves street photography so he really enjoyed taking pictures of New York city’s streets, the buildings, skyscrapers, the city traffic lights, the yellow cabs. Just amazing experience!

We also managed to visit the Liberty State Park. It is a green oasis in the middle of Metropolitan northern New Jersey. You could enjoy an incredible view of the Manhattan skyline , the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It is a perfect place for relax, walking, fishing, enjoying the beauties of New York.

Another beautiful spot in New York of course is the Brooklyn Bridge which connects Brooklyn with Manhattan. Amazing by night, amazing by daytime. Here are some of the shots my husband took that night.

Here are some more pictures from the heart of New York City. I love everything about it. The big lights will inspire you. There is always something new and interesting happening. These streets will make you feel brand new. This I call New York Love.

Why not bright colors at winter? It is almost that time when everybody starts wearing big oversized sweaters with warm scarfs and boots. The look above is with a pop of brown, bright yellow and denim. I am wearing this lovely green sweater with combination with a dark denim shirt from H&M.
