Tulips.

Hello everybody,

and welcome back to my space. I am so excited to share with you one of my favorite outfits. I’ve been wearing during this really cold but in the same time magical winter season.

First of all we had our dear friends coming over from my homeland during the weekend. On that day we were about to drive to Lindau which is a town located on the lake “Constance”(Bodensee). Also the previous day it was heavy snowing but it did not stop us from exploring and sightseeing. That day it was snowing as well but we were determined to get into the car and drive to Lindau.

And right before we took the trip we decided to do a little photoshoot with these beautiful blooms. I bought the tulips the day before and we thought they will be the perfect accessory to our photo shoot. Furthermore how amazing is the contrast with the spring flowers to this winter wonderland scenery! Beautiful tulips always add a touch of spring in winter. Love it!

Also it was so much fun creating this huge ball of spring happiness and I think it turned out so pretty! We took a couple of pictures with the blooms while it was snowing at the same time! Such a fairy tale! Love it so so much! What do you think?:)

Last but not least I am really pleased with the styling. I recently purchased this gorgeous deep red knit sweater by Zara . That is probably the most cossy one I have ever owned! So so soft and warm! And I really like the color. They have it in three more shades but when I saw the red one I fell in love. I decided to pair it with my favorite high waisted black jeans from DSTLD. They are so comfy and chic. To add a pop of color to my outfit I added this beautiful mustard hat from Zara. But the prettiest accessory to my outfit were definitely the tulips! Don’t you think?:)

Most of all we had a lovely time at the lake despite of the cold weather. On our way back home we were driving really slow and carefully because it was really heavy snowing. It took as double the time to get back home. But it was worth it.

Thank you for reading and stopping by! Comment below how do you like the outfit, I would love to know:)

Have a beautiful week ahead!

Love,

Mary

Surprising rainy days are the sad reality these days in Madrid. I already was excited about the spring and was about to forget about the coats and the boots and to hide them in the closet. Not for a long though.

Now a little bit about my coat day look – I am wearing one of my favorite coats ever – a  green wool coat with some leather pieces on it. I am also wearing a beige leather dress from Blanco which I find so comfortable and stylish. It could be combined with different colors of tights and shoes. I picked up a orange tights to brighten the outfit. You can always make your outfit more interesting and attractive with some accessories – especially on a foggy and rainy days. I chose a cute small black hat and a feаthers earring.

Share with me in the comments below what do you think about the look and what color of tights would you choose to style a leather dress.

Wish a great weekend my friends! Stay warm! xx Mary

More spring vibes are up on MaryPolka. There is always something fresh and new coming with this season. And I can really smell it and feel it in the air of Madrid. The post is inspired by this beautiful and gorgeous white and black stripes skirt  from Forever 21. The stripes are always a great choice and for me personally they are an expression of difference and an artistic personality.

I chose to combine this white and black stripes skirt with all black everything – black lace top, black blazer, black hat, black flats and black necklace. The only pop of color in this look are the blooms – pinkish roses. The other accessory for the session is my cute little retro camera which I really love. It is an old Russian camera – a special gift from my father.

So lovelies, please share your thoughts about the look in the comments below. I really want to know your opinion. Wishing you all a great week ahead!

Love,

Mary

Happy Monday world! It is almost the end of February and here in Madrid it feels more and more like spring. So yes, better days are coming! Here is my new look for you which I believe is more casual and chic but in the same time the golden shades with red give the outfit a pop of glam. One of my favorite color combination is definitely red and black with a touch of gold. For this look I picked up  a oversized leather bag which I think is always a good idea for a more casual style. And again – the accessories for me are so essential and important to finish the whole look. You can always choose to put on some beautiful hat, sunglasses or jewelry.

Let me know what you think about the look in the comments below. It is always a pleasure to read your thoughts. Wish you all an amazing and lovely week! Thank you for reading x

Mary
